PACDC’s Equitable Development Policy Platform

Over the past year, PACDC and numerous partners researched and connected with practitioners and experts in community development to develop a policy roadmap for the next 8 years, accompanying the arrival of a new Mayoral Administration and many new Councilmembers.

After many robust conversations with a wide variety of stakeholders, we organized the Equitable Development Platform into 22 high impact recommendations within six planks:  Quality of Life, Inclusive Communities, Anti-Displacement, Housing, Economic Development, and Vacancy & Blight.

Our Platform promotes strategies and access to essential ingredients that communities need to thrive.  We know that, in particular, marginalized BIPOC communities have been under-resourced for years and we need you and many diverse allies in the fight to achieve equity.  If we are able to move the needle on all of the interconnected issues identified in our Platform - chosen by community impact, Community Development Corporation work relevance, feasibility, and advancing racial justice and equity - Philadelphia will be a much better city within the next 8 years. Philadelphia Does Better When We All Do Better.

Our platform has been endorsed by more than 60 organizations and businesses. Take a moment now to review PACDC's Equitable Development Policy Platform and endorse the platform on behalf of your organization.
