Welcome

Dear Friends,

PACDC is thrilled to celebrate the hard work it takes to create an equitable Philadelphia with you. Our members build and preserve affordable homes, ensure small businesses can thrive, and advance equitable neighborhood revitalization. Among this year’s award winners and finalists are people and organizations who work tirelessly to advance equity and economic opportunity for low-income residents. They transform vacant lands into thriving gardens. They make information and points of entry accessible for immigrant-owned businesses, young people, and those often overlooked by society.

This year, we chose to hold our gala in a space that embodies the tone of the work we do. In the face of increasing racism and anti-Semitism, PACDC is making a statement of support for a space that celebrates the very diverse Jewish experience throughout the nation. Established in 1976, and situated on Philadelphia’s Independence Mall, the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History has long been a vital component in the cultural life of Philadelphia.

At PACDC, we value the opportunity to support the work being done throughout the year to create the Philadelphia we all deserve. At our annual Gala and Award Ceremony for Community Development Excellence, we are honored to celebrate that work, and the incredible people doing it.
